KCL Successfully Concludes Client’s Divorce Case

Attorney E. Steven Coren represented a client who was a hairdresser and who was subjected to alleged abuse by her husband during the marriage. The husband also contacted the wife’s part-time employer, a retirement home, and claimed he would report the treatment facility for allowing his wife to earn unreported income, which was not true. Unfortunately, the facility terminated the wife’s business, costing her over $10,000 in gross income per year. The case settled close to the trial date. Attorney Coren secured 70 percent of the value of the marital home for the wife, as well as child support and custody of the minor children. He also arranged refinancing of the marital home so the wife could buy out her husband’s share, and the client and her children could remain in the home together.
