With the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we want to assure you that KCL remains fully committed to ensuring all our client matters are handled timely, professionally and effectively.
Over the last few weeks, we have been monitoring the public health situation and the closures and disruptions that have become part of our daily lives. At the same time, we have been diligently preparing our attorneys and teams to meet demands and deadlines in non-traditional ways as restrictions regarding person-to-person interactions and business shut-downs continue to occur.
We are keeping a close eye on the Commonwealth’s response to the pandemic and the list of designated businesses and other organizations that have been deemed to provide essential services and workforces related to COVID-19 that shall continue to operate brick and mortar facilities during this two-week time period. We are keeping apprised of all closures and restrictions placed on government offices, court houses, schools, and businesses and are working diligently to handle matters for clients within these new restrictions.
Many of our business clients have asked about loan and workforce programs and opportunities. For loan information, we encourage you to visit the SBA’s Disaster Loan Assistance website. For information about Massachusetts’ WorkShare program, a tool to help employers avoid layoffs during a downturn, please visit their website. We are more than happy to discuss either of these initiatives with you, answer any questions you may have and provide necessary guidance.
For any other issues you may face as a result of the pandemic, we are here for you. As always, KCL remains open, willing and able to assist our clients. While we are not meeting in person unless absolutely necessary, we are conducting most client conferences effectively via e-mail, telephone and videoconference.
From everyone at KCL, we wish you and your families very best wishes during this challenging time.
