The recent devastating tornadoes in central Massachusetts should give everyone pause, as no one is immune to natural disasters. Even if tornadoes don’t return to Massachusetts this Summer, there are obviously other kinds of natural calamities that can jeopardize life, limb or property.
In the wake of the central Mass. tornadoes, several branches of the Massachusetts government have issued updated advice on how to plan for, and then respond, in the event of natural disasters.
In an effort to get the word out we are reprinting and attaching three helpful bulletins from the Commonwealth:
- “Disaster Guide” — from the Division of Insurance
- “Tips for Filing Insurance Claims” — also from the Division of Insurance
- “Tornadoes” — from the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security
We hope you will take a few minutes to read the bulletins and consider what you or your family might do to be better prepared.
Be safe.
